French government is expected to confirm laws for “fast fashion” and eco-score

In France, following adoption of a fast fashion law by the Parliament in mid-March, the government is under pressure to deliver. Definitions are needed for company thresholds alongside terms and conditions of the decree implementing environmental labelling. According to our sources, the government will report on forced labour in the fashion industry, which could lead to a future bill on the social aspects of the sector.

According to a member of the Circular Fashion Federation, the government bill to combat fast fashion, passed by the French National Assembly on March 14, 2024, is due to be scrutinized by the Senate from April 15.
