United States: is 100% remote work nearing an end?

Having been innovators in this arena, a growing number of US companies appear to be backtracking on "full" remote work arrangements and are trying to get their workforces back into the office. Could we be witnessing the end of remote work on the other side of the Atlantic?

American companies were among the first to adopt remote working but it seems some of them are taking a step backwards.
