The European wallet Wero arrives at E.Leclerc and Veepee to compete with Apple Pay and Google Pay

Wero, the QR code and contactless payment solution developed by EPI and 16 European banks, is beginning a retail rollout with E.Leclerc, Veepee and Orange. This step marks the transition from C2C to online commerce for the European wallet, which already has 44 million users, and ambition to compete with solutions from Big Tech, Visa and Mastercard.
