Spain: industrial sector SMEs to receive support to reduce working time

The Spanish government has unveiled details of its pilot project encouraging companies to reduce their working hours or even adopt a four-day week. The plan, which will be powered with €10 million of funding, will provide support for 60 to 70 SMEs, with subsidies of up to €150,000 over two years to help them review their organisational methods. The aim is to increase productivity while reducing working hours by at least 10%, without any reduction in pay for employees.
