Home » Industrial relations » National industrial relations » Italy: collective agreement reached in construction industry on worker safety Italy: collective agreement reached in construction industry on worker safety On 21 February, the ANCE and COOP business organisations and the Feneal-UIL, Filca-CISL and Fillea-CGIL trade unions signed a deal to renew the collective agreement for the construction industry. This covers around 1 million workers, whether they are employed by large companies or the many cooperatives operating in the sector. The agreement includes improvements on occupational safety and training, as well as mechanisms to ensure greater transparency in subcontracting, a particularly important point due to the persistence of undeclared work in the sector.
