Published on 02 October 2024 à 16h33 - Update on 03 October 2024 à 14h40 Resources The consultancy Syndex Europe, together with the European trade unions FETBB (construction), EFFAT (agri-food), EPSU, ETF (transport), industriAll Europe, UNI Europa, the European Trade Union Confederation and the European Trade Union Institute, launched a practical guide to restructuring at the end of September. This interactive guide will provide multinational employee representatives with a range of content, organised according to the stage at which the project is underway at their company. All situations are covered, including offshoring, relocation, bankruptcy, closure, merger and transformation into a European company. Elected representatives will benefit from legal resources and research texts on the company’s obligations, on the means of action available to trade unions at local and European level, and on the role of public authorities. Worth noting: the tool is translated into 21 European languages and is available, upon authorisation, for trade union recommendations and guidelines. It was created in response to the accelerating pace of change, as the “jobs of millions of workers will keep evolving under the cumulative effect of four megatrends: digitalisation, adaptation to climate change, ever-growing and ill-regulated globalisation as well as ageing societies”, its creators outline.
