France: La Poste’s diploma programme for staff helps meet its cybersecurity needs

Between 2024 and the summer of 2025, La Poste Group (200,000 employees in France) created a programme for around 10 employees who were trained and then graduated in cybersecurity with the help of specialist company Sysdream. They benefited from a dedicated internal upskilling programme, the so-called 'marked routes’, designed as part of the group's social agreement. The project responds to a growing need for cybersecurity in a company undergoing rapid change due to its digitalisation.

After giving oral presentations on their dissertations in front of a panel, all nine La Poste employees in the cohort obtained a cybersecurity diploma in June 2025, recognised by the National Directory of Professional Certifications. This allows them to confirm their employment in a dedicated position within one of the information systems (IS) departments where they had already been working on a work-study basis since September 2024. “We looked for employees who have an aptitude for learning and whose skills mean that, even if they do not come from the cyber world, they are familiar with the subject and already work within an IS entity.
