EU: European Trade Union Confederation publishes its stance on revision to the EWC directive

The position adopted by the European Trade Union Confederation’s executive committee on 16 March is now available and is attached to this article.  The organisation expresses the need to improve EU Directive 2009/38 on European Works Councils, placing particular emphasis on the legal means through which such bodies can make sure their rights are respected. The position paper comes with the European Commission set to publish its assessment of the directive and, based on this, launch a debate on the need to potentially revise the text.
