The organisation expresses the need to improve EU Directive 2009/38 on European Works Councils, placing particular emphasis on the legal means through which such bodies can make sure their rights are respected. The position paper comes with the European Commission set to publish its assessment of the directive and, based on this, launch a debate on the need to potentially revise the text. By .
