Spain: government steps up efforts to prevent risks linked to summer heatwaves

On 11 June, Spanish labour minister Yolanda Diaz launched a national campaign to raise awareness among businesses about the risks of worker exposure to high temperatures. The country's labour inspectorate will step up its monitoring of sectors most exposed to outdoor work and companies found to be in breach of the regulations will face fines of up to €980,000.
