Generative AI was born in the U.S.A. in November 2022. Where do American retailers stand?

On the whole, the Americans, like the French, are in the early stages of this process. On the surface, brands are sending out press releases to show they are at the cutting edge of collecting data and creating personalised chatbots. However, behind the scenes, the training requests I receive are introductions to AI and Chat GPT for marketing teams. At the same time, there’s an inevitable gap between the U.S.A. and France. This wave of technological innovation – and this one looks like a tsunami – started in the United States. This country is often at the forefront in terms of generative AI. There is an inescapable delay for this service to deploy in France, due to the language barrier, different timetables or separate deployments. All this slows things down.
