On February 26, 2026, Walmart (2025 revenue: US$713.2 billion, up by 5.1% at constant rates) agreed to pay US$100 million in response to allegations of misleading compensation to delivery drivers on the Spark delivery platform. According to a complaint filed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and 11 US states, between July 2021 and January 2023, the world’s largest food retailer misled independent Spark drivers by displaying tips and base salaries that were inflated compared to what they act
