On May 1st, 2020, China launched a new bilateral “Green Lane” immigration program, aimed at facilitating business travel with South Korea. Koreans can now travel to 7 provinces and the three major cities of Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing. Beijing is not a valid destination with imposition of isolation over 21 days for foreign travellers after an array of health-screening procedures. Korean travellers must test as negative for the Covid-19 up to 72 hours before departure.
