The European Union has agreed to open its markets to Vietnam, while closing doors to Cambodia. This rewards Hanoi for progress in terms of labour guarantees and punishes Phnom Penh for human rights violations. Tran Tuan Anh, Minister of Industry and Trade, says the free trade agreement is an important milestone for Vietnam.
