The chairs of the airline companies Air France and KLM, Air France KLM's European Works Council and the general secretary of the European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF) signed, on February 20, 2008, a social and ethical charter. It will replace another text, adopted on June 25, 2001, for Air France's perimeter only. The charter emphasizes fundamental rights and values which govern the group's social, environmental and ethical policy. (Ref. 080153)
This document, which was negotiated and signed by the social partners represented within Air France KLM’s EWC, is completed with a “declaration of Air France KLM’s social responsibility,” which lists “the commitments taken by the group to make sure that its growth is profitable go hand in hand with the promotion of social values and environment quality.” The charter, which will come into effect on March 1, 2008, will be sent out in French, English and Dutch so that all employees can read...
