The German insurance group Allianz concluded, in August 2006, an agreement on workers' involvement on the occasion of its transformation into a European company. This text, which provides for the presence of paid administrators within the board of trustees (see our articles n° 06938 and 06716), also sets up a European company work's council. The preamble of the agreement that sets up the modalities of workers’ involvement in the European firm – resulting from the merger of the German group Allianz, and the Italian holding RAS – recognizes that the firm’s success is closely linked to the employees’ commitment and satisfaction.
