At its plenary session of November 21, 2006, in Brussels, the European work's council of the Australian packaging group AMCOR elected its new secretary, the French Patrick Bauret (Filpac-CGT) and fixed new orientations to reinforce its role. (Ref. 061204)

The Australian packaging group AMCOR (24000 employees) is present in 13 Member States of the EU and Switzerland, with approximately 8000 employees. Its highest enrolments are in Great Britain (2000), Spain (1550), France (970), Belgium (950), Germany (750) and Switzerland (690). The EWC, which includes 16 members, elected, on November 21, the French Patrick Bauret (Filpac-CGT) as new secretary of the Council.
