Argentina: 10.000 workers in the car industry affected by the decline of the sector

With Renault's announcement to suspend 1.000 jobs in Argentina, there are now more than 10.000 jobs threatened by the crisis in the sector. Volkswagen, Fiat, Iveco, Peugeot and Mercedes-Benz recently sent part of their workers to partial unemployment, reduced working time or imposed early breaks. Unions' priority is to avoid a wave of mass layoffs. (Ref. 080889)

After dismissing 350 people in mid-October,
