The Argentinean government presented a $21 billion investment plan to boost employment. These funds, aimed at developing infrastructures, should allow for the creation of 400.000 jobs in the building sector. In addition, companies which employed illegal workers will enjoy a moratorium on taxes and reduced employers' contributions if they sort the situation out. Reducing social contributions is also planned when recruiting new employees. In addition to these measures, some unions demand a ban on dismissals for six months. (Ref. 080948)
The plan of action against the crisis presented last week by the Argentinean government will have a double impact on employment.
