Argentina’s Employment Ministry has published a report in which it says that in the space of 11 years more than 650 unions have been set up. The country’s rate of unionization at 37% is amongst the highest of the region. However this dynamism brings with it issues of union fragmentation at a time when the country may be facing a change in government.
“Between 2003 and 2014 more than 650 organizations were set up in the country,” outlined the Ministry, underlining the fact that this progression is also continuing in 2015 without actually giving any details.
