The Supreme Court ruled that the legislation which prevents a worker from being elected union representative if he wasn't a member of the official trade union, the CGT, was unconstitutional. This historical sentence demolishes the single trade union system and implies the legal recognition of independent organizations. Any worker may now be chosen as representative by his peers, regardless of his membership to any union. (Ref. 080899)
