Austria: agenda of spring collective negotiations in the industry

Most Austrian sectors traditionally negotiate their collective agreements in the spring, except the metal industry which bargains in the fall. 130,000 employees are concerned. Debates already started in March in electronics, electrical engineering and textile. Planet Labor is providing you with the schedule of these negotiations led by the PRO GE (manufacturing) and GPA-djp (private sector) unions and the matching departments of the Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ).   • Electronics and electrical engineering. 50,000 employees. The first meeting took place on March 26, 2013; views and claims were exchanged. The first bargaining session will be on April 7, 2013. Last year, the social partners had agreed on an average 3.9% increase.
  • Chemistry. 45,000 employees. Negotiations will start on April 3, 2013. In 2012, the wage increase amounted to 4.5%.
