Social partners in several important sectors of Austrian industry have commenced wage negotiations. Talks are taking place in an uncertain and tense climate, after two years of increases well above the rate of inflation.
The Austrian PRO-GE and GPA trade unions have begun the spring wage negotiations for several important industrial sectors in Austria. In keeping with tradition, talks have kicked off without the unions communicating any specific demands.
