Belgium: bill transposing CSRD adopted

On 28 November, the Chamber of Representatives approved a bill transposing the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Belgium was one of the countries lagging behind on transposition of the directive, with the first sustainability reports under the framework due in 2025 for companies with over 500 employees and turnover of €40 million. On the social front, the accompanying impact study indicates a positive impact on national law as regards the disclosure of companies’ diversity
