In Belgium, the gravity center of social dialogue in the private sector - especially for wage negotiations - is located in the joint commissions (CP) instituted in each branches. Until now, workers who did not belong to a specific equal commission belonged to the CP100 - for workers - and to the CP200 - for employees. These two commissions have just been replaced. Joint commissions (CP) bring together representatives from organizations representing the sector’s employers and employees. They are chaired by a social mediator, civil servant of the Federal Minister for Labour and Employment.
