On June 24, Belgium’s oil sector signed its collective agreement for the period 2015/2016. Unions secured the maximum in terms of pay rises as well as improved provisions for quality of life and redundancy compensation. The agreement covers some 6,000 employees and workers in about 180 companies.
Quality of life. According to the union organizations one of the most satisfying aspects of the new collective agreement is the extension of possibilities (under certain circumstances) for team members, if they so wish, to switch to a day-to-day regime all the while retaining the team bonus payment over a certain period.
