On 13 December 2021, and in order to accelerate ‘the diversity revolution and deliver projects that showcase society,’ Publicis Groupe Belgium & Netherlands announced the launch of THE SPA (The Shaping Progress Academy). This programme is open to students from all over the world, who are located in a -5h/+5h CET time zone and want to develop their creative skills. Starting on 07 January 2022, candidates will work in teams on real briefings for the communication group’s international clients that includes Heineken, Disney, Orange, Renault and BNP Paribas Fortis. Based on their creative output six teams will be selected to present their ideas to a jury, after which three teams will be finally selected. The successful candidates will then be offered a paid internship of between three and six months starting in February 2022. They will receive exclusive advice, mentoring and masterclasses from creative directors around the world. “We want to attract, inspire and support the best creative talents in the world, opening our doors to different people from different social and financial backgrounds and cultures, different mindsets and disciplines,” explained Eduardo Marques, Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe Benelux. The objective of the group that was founded by Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet is to “break existing habits and prejudices” to move “towards a 100% inclusive organisation.”
