Brazil: Chamber of deputies approves legislation strengthening pay parity
As Brazil’s government promised on 08 March, legislation was introduced to the Chamber of Deputies, the members of which approved on 04 May, requiring companies at least 20 employees to publish their gender-based pay information under a certain number circumstances. If the law is finally adopted, penalty fines for non-compliant companies will be increased for cases of wage discrimination based on gender, ethnic origin, or age.
