The management of the French distribution group Casino and the trade-union federation UNI commerce opened discussions in order to establish the European work's council. (Réf. 06433)

The Casino group which employs 213000 people including 75000 in France, is established in two other European countries: Poland and the Netherlands since it bought, in 2002, part of the capital of the second Dutch operator of the sector, Laurus. The trade-union organization submitted a first text to management and will bring together the French and Polish representative trade unions which are affiliated to it. The objective is to conclude the negotiation before the end of 2006.
