The Chilean Minister of Labor, Osvaldo Andrade, and the Argentinean Minister of Labor, Juan Carlos Tomada, adopted an amendment to the social security agreement signed by both countries in 1996. The text grants new advantages to cross-border workers. For a Chilean or an Argentinean worker, the work years performed in one country or the other will now be recognized by the administrations of the two States.
