On 8 February 2024, three Chinese stock exchanges announced new environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure guidelines for 400 of its largest companies, which will need to publish these non-financial reports by 30 April 2026. In addition to information on their energy transition plans and their impact on biodiversity, companies will have to disclose their “social contribution”, including regarding rural revitalization, and the security of their supply chain.
