In a letter sent to Club Méditerranée's CEO - Henri Giscard d'Estaing - delegates from the group's European works council asked for better information-consultation when "villages" close for repairs and on the support measures for the employees concerned. (Ref. 070932)
Gathered for a training session, the EWC’s members learned about a social conflict in Greece about the early shutdown of a “village” and its opening for repairs. Elected members complain because they were not informed about this during the council’s plenary meeting last June. The council’s bureau explains that Greek members informed them at the end of august, because the management, after a 4-day strike, had postponed the new negotiation meeting to the end of November.
