The difference between unemployed women and men in the Czech Republic was 3.3 percentage points last year and was the 4th highest in the EU, according to recent data from the German statistic office. (Ref. 06355)
The Czech Republic registered 9.8% percent of unemployed women and 6.5 percent of unemployed men last year. This difference is the fourth biggest in the EU. On average, in the 25 EU member states in 2005, women had an unemployment rate of 9.8 percent, while that of men was 7.9 percent.
