The Chamber of Deputies is examining the government's proposal for the amendment to the Act on Foreigners' Stay and Residence. It introduces a "green card", a new long-term residence permit paired with a work permit to facilitate the appeal to foreign workers when a job can't be fulfilled. Creation of a central record of available vacancies which may be staffed by green card holders will be established and will include:
- vacancies not taken by a citizen of the Czech Republic or the European Union or their family members within thirty days of the day when the Employment Agency was notified of it, designated by the employer as suitable for a foreigner;
