A list of countries whose citizens will be entitled to the green card was published in the collection of laws on December 29, 2008. This card, which contains a residence and a labor permit, is aimed at fighting against the shortage of skilled workforce which is threatening the country (see our dispatch No. 080849.) (Ref. 090049)
The list has been prepared by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and includes the following 12 countries: the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand; former Yugoslavian states: Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia (FYROM); Ukraine and two Asian states: Japan and South Korea.
