Next 22 June, the restricted committee of the European work's council of DBA (Dim Branded Apparel) will meet. It had announced, last 12 May, its intention to remove 950 jobs in Europe. The staff representatives, supported by their European trade-union federation, will again ask for the negotiation of a European agreement of method. (Réf. 06604)

DBA is the subsidiary company of the American investment fund Sun Capital Partners, created in February 2006, within the framework of the repurchase, by Sun, of SLBA (Sara Lee Branded Apparel), the European clothing division (Dim, Wonderbra, Playtex, Gossard…) of the American multinational SL, based in Chicago.

950 jobs removed. The announced restructuring affects especially France (450 people), Spain (300) and Italy (140 jobs) with “dramatic effects on the economic and social development”...
