In the past few days, several collective agreements were signed, notably in construction industrial cleaning and graphics. This boost comes from the fact that most existing collective agreements expired on March 1. In some sectors, e.g. finance, the talks were suspended in the absence of an agreement and strike notices were issued. However, the conventional arbitration authority postponed the possibility of starting a “big conflict” by 14 days.
Most of the agreements signed these past few days contain provisions on training, parental leave and wage increases, the same as in the key agreements signed in these areas, notably manufacturing regarding minimum wage (see article No. 8164) – where local negotiations complete the wages defined at sectoral level – and transport (see article No. 8217) in the area of ‘normal pay’ – where wages are determined at sectoral level.
