Denmark: government looks to simplify employment regulations and better take into account new labor market realities
Denmark’s government is seeking to better take changes in the labor market into account by simplifying employment regulations and improving its appraisal of new forms of independent work so as to better cater to workers when they lose their jobs. This is why the government has (i) being collaborating with the KL union (umbrella association made up of 98 districts) on streamlining regulations, and (ii) commented on the conclusions delivered by a working group that was appointed to deliberate on a system of unemployment insurance that could cater to the various forms of independent work.
