On October 8, Henrik Sass Larsen, the Minister for Business and Growth presented a draft law on employee investment companies (medarbejderinvesteringsselskab: MS), which allows businesses in need of development or modernization funds to establish companies where employees can provide part of their salaries as a source of finance. These types of companies, originated in the food industry will now be able to be set up by any business in any sector.
“This draft law must be seen in the context of the threat to jobs in those sectors suffering from a lack of necessary funds for investment in modernization or development of society,” explained the Business and Growth Minister Henrik Sass Larsen when presenting the draft law on October 8 to the Danish Parliament.
