In June, Lego announced that 900 of the 1200 employees in Billund will be laid off in the three next years, because the group will transfer 80% of its production to the subcontractor Flextronics, the world leader world for plastic moulding, between now and 2010. Lego factories in Billund will only produce the Bionicle and Lego Technics, which account for about 20% of the production.
