The objective to reach an agreement by February 12 presented by the social partners when negotiations started for the renewal of the manufacturing collective agreement (see our dispatch No. 1000016) wasn’t achieved. Following the procedure of the framework agreement signed with the employers’ organization in November (see our dispatch No. 091056), LO terminated all the collective agreements expiring on march 1 and sent the first conflict notice so it could reach employers’ representatives (Dansk Arbejdsgiverforening – DA) by February 12. Last week, LO and DA failed to find an agreement to postpone that date too. However, this is a formal procedure notifying the arbitration institution (Forligsinstitutionen) that it has to step in.
