On 10 December a large majority of Denmark’s parliament adopted a new law on contract clauses. The law bans non-poaching clauses and reviews the rules over using contract clauses that could hamper job mobility.
Put before the Danish parliament on 07 October (c.f. article No. 9305), the law, which reviews and brings together in one legal text, standards for contract clauses (ansættelsesklausuler), was finally adopted by a large parliamentary majority on 10 December. The LO union and the employers’ body DA both participated in defining new rules that will come into force on 01 January 2016 and will affect all working relationships using these types of clauses.
