The 2015 finance bill presented by the Danish government on August 26, 2014 brings with it several “improvements” for workers. These range from a significant strengthening in health policy (which provides for, amongst other things, health check-ups for lesser qualified workers) to a consolidation in the professional training policy for both young and adult workers and to a full tax deduction for union dues – which cancels the previous conservative government's provision and one which had facilitated the growth of “yellow” unions.
Improvement in the Welfare State, rising employment, and control over the economy represent the three axes upon which the government finance bill rests.
