LO's 36th congress, which gathered 800 representatives in Copenhagen from October 28 to October 21, marks a "return to the roots" with the election of Harald Børsting, "tradition man", who won by 17 points on the "innovation woman", Tine Auvrig-Huggenberger. The watchword is to go back to fundamental value and to the union's role of defending workers, or even to curb the loss of members. The confederation lost about 200.000 members in ten years. A TV2 survey said that the woman applicant would win with 71%.
