DP World: agreement to establish a EWC in the subsidiary of the shipping company Dubai Ports World

When the shipping company Dubai Ports World (DPW) bought the British shipping company P&O in 2006, an EWC was established for the European employees of the European subsidiary Port and Freezone World (PF World - 6.500 employees). P&O's EWC, created in 2000, served as a basis for the negotiation of the new agreement signed in May 2007. (Ref. 080181)

The European Works Council is established to provide for the exchange of information and establishment of consultation on transnational issues.
