The EADS group's management and its European works council signed, on April 26, 2007, a letter of intent to gradually open the European employees' representation body to other countries located outside of the European union (see our story n°070113). This document, put together several months ago, will be annexed to the EWC's constitutive agreement. (Ref. 070407)
After the international framework agreement which defines the EADS NV group’s social principles and standards was signed, on June 28, 2005, the signatory parties agreed on the principle to adapt, if necessary, social dialogue rules within the group, in order to comprise its activities’ development and globalization. Talks which then started led to the writing of a letter of intent which will be annexed to the October 23, 2000 agreement concerning EADS NV’ European works council.
