The board of directors of Elcoteq, a Finnish company of the telecom technology sector transformed into a European company in 2006, announced, on last December 22nd, that it will propose to the next general assembly to transfer its headquarters to Luxembourg. Elcoteq is thus using a possibility provided by the SE statute : that which allows to transfer the headquarters. (Ref.070020)
Elcoteq SE is a multinational company employing 25000 people, with a headquarters in Espoo, Finland. Specialized in telecom technologies (terminals and telecom networks), Ecloteq is present in 16 countries. It took this decision in the aim of easing the implementation of its globalization strategy and contributing to the reinforcement of its competitiveness.
