Sustainable employment and healthy ageing were the two themes underlying the new European campaign for occupational health and safety, launched by the European Commission on 15 April and follows on from an earlier two-year campaign (2014-2015) that concentrated on psychosocial risks.
Launching a European campaign for occupational health and safety is a clear must on the Commissioner for Employment’s agenda. Two-year campaigns are a regular feature and Commissioner Marianne Thyssen remains in line by inaugurating on 15 April, together with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), the 2016-2017 campaign for Healthy Workplaces for all Ages.
