Over recent years, business restructurings across all sectors have become more frequent and more important, especially since the financial crisis. Given this situation, the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (OSHA-EU), located in Bilbao (Spain) has undertaken a four country study (Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, and Poland) to gain a better understanding of the nature and effects of restructurings on worker wellbeing and also to design strategies and practices aimed at reducing the negative effects of restructurings. In addition to a report, the study also gave a toolbox with best practice cases and advice to professionals on how to better manage the social repercussions of restructurings.
