EU: CEC European Managers publishes its set of Managers’ Demands ahead of the European elections

Over the next five years the European Union will have to meet the challenges of a world in transition, not least in terms of labor mobility and increasing employment digitalization. Thus the message of 08 March by CEC European Managers, which represents Managers across Europe and is one of six European social partners in cross-industry social dialogue officially recognized by the European Commission. The document published in the lead-up to the European elections set for May 2019 is entitled, ‘A Europe that lasts’. In it the organization sets out its demands for an EU that focuses on its citizens, is long lasting and innovative, works towards inclusion and gender equality, and is one which adopts a multilateral approach towards international relations. In it is notably a call for the adoption of a new European Parliament resolution that ‘shall highlight the new challenges facing the managerial profession, promote policies to support managers in their changing professional role and acknowledge their role in social dialogue and society.’
