The committee of European social dialogue for extractive companies, which met for a plenary session on March 6, decided to push further their work on CSR and to keep going with their common reflections on the attractiveness of jobs in these industries. (Ref. 070245)
This committee brings together the European Mine, Chemical and Energy Workers’ Federation (EMCEF) on the union side, and Euromines, Eurocoal and IMA and the managerial side. During this plenary meeting, social partners decided to go further in their work on the CSR. With a view to identifying responsible practices from the sector’s companies, to mutualize and spread them, the EMCEF was given the charge of establishing a study plan which will be submitted to the European commission for funding.
